Postdoctoral OpportunitiesNRL POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMASEE administers a number of federal programs that offer fellowship opportunities, including the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. This program is open to US citizens and legal permanent residents and offers a competitive stipend as well as insurance, relocation, and travel allowances. The program offers one to three year postdoctoral fellowships designed to increase the involvement of scientists and engineers from academia and industry to scientific and technical areas of interest and relevance to the Navy. January 18, 2010 OPPORTUNITY CLOSED. Apply for SEA's Health Policy Fellowship Scientists and Engineers for America (SEA), a DC-based nonprofit organization, is recruiting two Virtual Health Policy Fellows for the 2010 spring semester research program. Fellows lead 5 interns in a research group dedicated to SEA's Legislation Tracking Project, which prepares the scientific community to engage the press and policy-makers during the 2010 elections, and help to moderate a weekly Science Policy and Communications Seminar. Fellows work remotely with interns to collaborate on policy research via conference call and online chat room. The specific focus, whether active health legislation or historic policy initiatives, Comparative Effectiveness Research, or a similar topic, depends on the interests and experience of the successful candidates for these two positions. Health Fellows will work with other post-doctoral scholars who will lead already established intern groups focusing on climate, renewable energy policies, and science communications. The positions requires ten hours of research and participation each week, with approximately half dedicated to intern and SEA staff correspondence and collaboration, and half dedicated to personal research, designing a month syllabus, and preparing to lead seminars that feature key players in Washington, DC.
